If I can do it, then so can you!

My car was misfiring and causing me drama and more than a few curse words. Mostly I hate having to deal with mechanics. All my experiences dealing with auto shops have left much to be desired. Because I'm female, those dirty grease monkeys think that they can just dick with me and charge an arm and a leg for this that and the other... and because I don't really know much about car maintenance they probably could get away it.

Long story short, I went to Advanced Auto Parts and got a free diagnostic. Turns out I had to replace my spark plugs. I've done it only once two years ago with a friend who showed me what to do. Very simple. So I gathered up all my materials and changed those bad boys myself. Turns out plug no. 3 was burnt to a crisp and causing all the problems. Now it runs great! Before I started I also double checked with my friends to make sure I remembered correctly what to do and I found this site that I thought was pretty awesome with very simple straight forward instructions and advice. Not to mention pictures! I actually enjoyed giving my car a little tune up. The test drive felt great and left me with that deep satisfaction you get from doing something yourself.

Way to go!! I grew up on a farm and was taught how to take care of vehicles and machinery, but really haven't done anything myself, so I'm very impressed!
